Company history:

  • 1980 to 2000 – proprietor, then director of Fielding-Smith Plumbing P/L
  • 2001 – Sydney manager of a RGM International Roto Rooter, strategically incorporating a large group of plumbing companies
  • 2001 – proprietor of Fielding-Smith Bathrooms
  • 2001 – proprietor of Ian Fielding-Smith & Sons
  • 2011 – operations manager of Plumbers Queensland
  • 2012 – proprietor of All Terrain Ride-on Brushcutting & Mowing
  • 2014 – site manager of Noosa Pengari Steiner School
  • Current – proprietor of All Terrain & manager of Ian Fielding-Smith & Sons

Methodology: Our methodology never set out to provide one solution. This is not the same as our methods. Instead, we utilise & offer our clients an understanding of which method/s or best practices could be applied to a specific job or task, to gain a specific result, within a given budget. This enables our clients to use timelines to assist in making important decisions with pre-calculated alternate budgets.

Employee turnover: Prior to 2001, we had 11 casual employees in the two plumbing businesses, to manage peak periods, but maintained six tradesmen, an office manager & an operations manager full-time, to deal with a 20 year client database of over 13,000. Our employees stayed with us for up to 19 years, most 5 to 12 years, as did our contractors, who stand by us to this day, when we work in NSW.

Since selling the plumbing company in 2001, our philosophy regarding our emloyees was altered to a very select group of exceptional contractors, enabling us to offer the best available tradesmen & business specialists to our valued clientelle & our community.
